Dorit Silverman nominated as vice president of the Hebrew Writers Association since 2015 and she is the head of the board of the literary magazine "Moznaim".

She published 20 novels – some of them searching for the Jewish identity, others – for the feminine identity and for the meaning of motherhood.

Silverman got her PHD for Literature on 1990. She took part in some international conventions. Her books were translated in to several languages, and received several scholarships, awards and grants.

Dorit Silverman had three children. Tom, Dean and Avigail.
